About Us
Heavy Duty Alignment Centre was founded over 33 years ago by Rob Carey and Johan Walters, becoming South Africa’s first fully comprehensive heavy vehicle alignment shop.
With his background in garage equipment sales and mechanical work, Rob saw the transport industry’s need for proper wheel alignment. Investing in advanced Hunter computerized equipment, he helped shift alignment from being seen as an expense to a vital cost-saving necessity.
Since then, we’ve expanded into chassis straightening, wheel balancing, suspension repairs, king pin replacement, and steel repair for trucks and trailers. We also provide pre-delivery alignments for trailer manufacturers and work closely with major brands to minimize tire and alignment issues.
We are on the panels of most insurance companies and can come directly to you with quotations or advice on damaged vehicles.
